The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research, is a volunteer
fundraising organization with over 20,000 volunteers (men, women and
high school students) organized in over 50 chapters in Palm Beach,
Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.  It was founded in 1952.
Since our founding, we have donated over $58 million to Sylvester– $43
million of that since 2003—to support research efforts and help recruit
world-renowned researchers and physicians. These funds support
research programs and provide seed money for research on all types of
cancer at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami
Miller School of Medicine.  Sylvester is South Florida's only university-
based cancer center.

We are the largest all-volunteer organization in the United States
dedicated solely to funding research on ALL TYPES of cancer.  The
monies we raise go directly to cancer research.  Specific cancers are
designated by colors.  Lavender is the general (common) color for cancer.

The Pap Corps is named in honor of Dr. George Papanicolaou, who
developed the Pap test for cervical cancer, saving the lives of millions of

In the fall of 2003 the
Bellaggio Cancer Research Chapter was founded
and began its efforts at raising funds for this ever so important project.
Our Bellaggio unit hosts a range of activities to raise money and
awareness throughout the community in hopes of finding a cure in our
lifetime.  Join us in the search for a cure for cancer.
